Dr. Filshtinskaya graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Pace University in 2004, where she made the Dean’s list. After completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Filshtinskaya received her doctorate of optometry degree from SALUS University (Pennsylvania College of Optometry) in 2009. Dr. Filshtinskaya joined NY LASIK after graduation in 2009.
Dr. Filshtinskaya has several interests in eye care, including primary patient care, counseling surgical and non-surgical patients to best meet their visual needs and identifying related systemic conditions affecting the eye such as diabetes and hypertension. She also focuses her practice on pre-operative and post-operative cataract patients, glaucoma and low vision.
Dr. Filshtinskaya’s hobbies include swimming, long walks and hiking. She is fluent in both English and Russian.
