Laiyin Ma, MD

Laiyin Ma, MDLaiyin Ma, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist at NY LASIK Microsurgery Center. She completed her undergraduate degree at Boston University and completed a seven-year Accelerated BA/MD program at the prestigious Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Ma completed her ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, before completing her fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Dr. Ma is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the American Medical Association (AMA) the Eye and Contact Lens Association and Women in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Ma has published numerous articles based on ophthalmology, especially articles based on her specialty training in corneal and external diseases. She is a very accomplished Tennis player, once ranking in the top 25 in the East Coast for Girls’ 18 Singles. In addition, Dr. Ma is one of the top violinists in NY, once the 1st violinist at All-State (New York) and All-County (Long Island) 2004-2006.

Dr. Ma is fluent in English and conversational Mandarin Chinese.
