Dr. Bley is the founder and surgical director of the New York Lasik Center and Laser and Microsurgery Institute. For more than ten years he has been at the head of a team of top surgeons and ophthalmologists delivering stellar outcomes in refractive and functional surgery.
   
Dr. Bley is certified in all state-of-the-art refractive lasers including Visx excimer laser and LADARVision laser. He performes all types of refractive surgeries such as Lasik, Lasek, Epi-Lasik, and PRK, and is at the forefront of alternatives to laser refractive surgery.
   
Dr. Bley is among the few surgeons certified to implant all of the refractive intraocular lenses such as Alcon Restor, Alcon Toric, AMO Rezoom, and Crystalens. He has been among the first to implant the Crystalens and has conducted the early studies in this developing technology.
   
Dr. Bley’s spectacular results in the refractive surgery field has deserved him wide recognition among the patients and his peers. He has been honorably selected among the best surgeons of the New York Area for the year 2007.
   
Dr. Bley has published and lectured extensively on vision correction surgery. His work has been presented at conferences and meetings with many groups such as The International Society of Refractive Surgeons, American College of Eye Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has been an instructor of Laser corrective and cataract surgery to his peers and residents. Dr. Bley has been selected as a speaker and presenter by the AMO and ALCON teaching the new advances in the field of refractive surgery to ophthalmologists and optometrists.
   
Dr. Bley is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bley is also a member of many refractive societies and is actively involved in developing the new advances in the field.
   
Dr. Bley performs more than 1000 cataract surgeries a year and more than 900 laser refractive procedures a year. His successes are among the top in his specialty. His patients routinely include physicians and their families (see testimonials). Dr. Bley’s reputation and skills are well known around the world and many patients travel from different countries to get surgery in his experienced hands.
Dr. Bley in among the few physicians specializing in handling the most complicated cataract surgeries, including cases with pseudoexfoliation, secondary intraocular lens implantation, etc. Other surgeons routinely refer their difficult cases to his expert care.
Dr. Bley graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from New York University. He received his doctorate of medicine from New York University School of Medicine, graduating with highest honors at the top of his class.
Dr. Bley's postgraduate training included an ophthalmology residency at Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital and a prestigious oculoplastics fellowship at the New York University and Bellevue Hospitals.

DR. Barrie Soloway, M.D. F.A.C.S. is one of the most experienced and most successful LASIK surgeons in the world. He has performed thousands of vision correction surgery procedures such as LASIK SRP, ICLs and INtacs.
   
At the world renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Barrie Soloway is the Director of Vision Correction, Principal Investigator for LASIK and Director of the Alcon LADARVision Center of Education in LASIK. He is one of the most experienced and successful vision correction surgeons in the world. He has been performing refractive surgery since 1984 and first used the excimer laser in 1990. He has performed thousands of LASIK surgeries since that time.
   
As the Director of Vision Correction at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, he heads up the Autonomous LADARVision Center of Excellence, and microkeratome training for Moria USA. He has trained hundreds of surgeons from throughout the world in all forms of Vision Correction Surgery and the LASIK procedure.
   
Dr. Soloway received extensive training in excimer laser and LASIK Vision Correction in the United States during the clinical trials for myopia and in Canada where the procedure was first approved. He is the principal investigator for hyperopic LASIK and SRP (surgical reversal of presbyopia) FDA monitored clinical trials as well as studies to re-calibrate glaucoma imaging studies for patients after LASIK, and dry eye studies on LASIK patients at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary's Vision Correction Center. Dr. Soloway has published and lectured extensively on vision correction surgery with many groups such as The International Society of Refractive Surgeons, American College of Eye Surgeons, Canadian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the India Council of Ophthalmic Surgery and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He frequently lectures on vision correction to patient and professional groups.
   
Dr. Soloway is a board member of the Council on Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance's certification committee, where national standards for qualifying refractive surgeons were set up. His training far exceeds FDA requirements.
   
Dr. Soloway has been selected by Visx, the leading excimer laser company as one of their Star Surgeons, their top honor for their best surgeons in the United States in 1998 and again in 1999. Summit Technology has admitted him to the Summit Autonomous Society for their best surgeons in 1999. In fact, when doctors, opthalmologists, optometrists, laser technicians and laser center staff have LASIK, they choose Dr. Soloway as their surgeon! In 1999 Dr. Soloway was chosen to perform LASIK surgery on the son of the CEO of Summit Technology, the manufacturers of the Autonomous LADARVision excimer laser system.
   
Dr. Soloway's success rates are among the highest of all LASIK surgeons. He is regularly listed as one of the "Best Doctors in New York" in Book and Magazine polls of doctors and patients.
   
Dr. Soloway received his bachelor's degree with honors from New York University and his Doctorate of Medicine from Pennsylvania State University Medical School. He served an internship in medicine at the Long Island College Hospital and completed his ophthalmology residency at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He spent an additional year of training there in the surgical repair of ocular trauma.
   
He has been in private practice in New York helping people see better without glasses since 1986.
   
Dr. Movshovich completed his internship in internal medicine at New York Downtown Hospital and he did a residency in ophthalmology at Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Movshovich also did a retinal fellowship at Cornell University Medical College.
Dr. Movshovich, in 1981, was the recipient of the Laureate of the Young Moscow Scientists Association Award. This award is given for the best research project for scientists under 35 years of age.
Dr. Moshovich was also the recipient of the prestigious Komsomol prize, the highest prize given in Russia for the best scientific research work in 1983.
Dr. Movshovich has been published in Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Movshovich is currently an Associate Professor at Cornell's Weil School of Medicine.

She also received her doctorate of medicine from the New York University School of Medicine where she was accepted into the most prestigious post-doctorate society of Alpha Omega Alpha (top 10% of graduating physicians) and received an award on the highest academic and clinical record in her year.
Dr. Borodoker has finished the top ophthalmologic residency at the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital and NYU University, where she was trained by the world’s most famous surgeons and educators. She also graduated a year of internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center/Cabrini Hospital.

Dr. Borodoker is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her clinical and scientific work has been presented at many ophthalmic meetings and conferences.
Dr. Borodoker has extensive exposure to orbital trauma through her training at Bellevue Hospital and holds an interest in oculoplastic and cosmetic surgery. She is certified in Botox injections and all types of cosmetic fillers including Restylane.
