Dr. Bley is the founder and surgical
director of the New York Lasik Center and Laser and
Microsurgery Institute. For more than ten years he has
been at the head of a team of top surgeons and ophthalmologists
delivering stellar outcomes in refractive and functional
surgery.
Dr. Bley is certified in all state-of-the-art
refractive lasers including Visx excimer laser and LADARVision
laser. He performes all types of refractive surgeries
such as Lasik, Lasek, Epi-Lasik, and PRK, and is at
the forefront of alternatives to laser refractive surgery.
Dr. Bley is among the few surgeons
certified to implant all of the refractive intraocular
lenses such as Alcon Restor, Alcon Toric, AMO Rezoom,
and Crystalens. He has been among the first to implant
the Crystalens and has conducted the early studies in
this developing technology.

Dr. Bley is board certified by
the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow
in the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bley is also
a member of many refractive societies and is actively
involved in developing the new advances in the field.
Dr. Bley performs more than 1000
cataract surgeries a year and more than 900 laser refractive
procedures a year. His successes are among the top in

DR. Barrie Soloway, M.D.
F.A.C.S. is one of the most experienced and most
successful LASIK surgeons in the world. He has
performed thousands of vision correction surgery
procedures such as LASIK SRP, ICLs and INtacs.
At the world renowned New
York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Barrie Soloway
is the Director of Vision Correction, Principal
Investigator for LASIK and Director of the Alcon
LADARVision Center of Education in LASIK. He is
one of the most experienced and successful vision
correction surgeons in the world. He has been
performing refractive surgery since 1984 and first
used the excimer laser in 1990. He has performed

Dr. Soloway has been selected

their best surgeons in the United States in 1998
and again in 1999. Summit Technology has admitted
him to the Summit Autonomous Society for their

opthalmologists, optometrists, laser technicians

Dr. Soloway as their surgeon! In 1999 Dr. Soloway
was chosen to perform LASIK surgery on the son
of the CEO of Summit Technology, the manufacturers
of the Autonomous LADARVision excimer laser system.

Dr. Soloway received his
bachelor's degree with honors from New York University
and his Doctorate of Medicine from Pennsylvania
State University Medical School. He served an
internship in medicine at the Long Island College
Hospital and completed his ophthalmology residency
at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He spent
an additional year of training there in the surgical
repair of ocular trauma.
He has been in private practice
in New York helping people see better without
glasses since 1986.
Dr. Movshovich completed
his internship in internal medicine at New York
Downtown Hospital and he did a residency in ophthalmology
at Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Movshovich
also did a retinal fellowship at Cornell University
Medical College.
Dr. Movshovich, in 1981,
was the recipient of the Laureate of the Young
Moscow Scientists Association Award. This award
is given for the best research project for scientists
under 35 years of age.
Dr. Moshovich was also the
recipient of the prestigious Komsomol prize, the
highest prize given in Russia for the best scientific
research work in 1983.
Dr. Movshovich has been published
in Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences
and The Association for Research in Vision and
Ophthalmology.
Dr. Movshovich is currently
an Associate Professor at Cornell's Weil School
of Medicine.
